Comparative analysis of 6 different lighted bug traps for flying insects
This project has carried out a series of surveys aimed at comparatively analysing the functional characteristics and efficiency of six different models of lighted bug traps for flying insects. The experiment was carried out in city of Crespellano (BO) according to the program of capture procedure that foresaw a two day control of the insects captured and rotation of the traps every ten days. The analysis of the captures point out two interesting results:
1) the performance of the traps are influenced to the quality of the emitted light;
2) the fan speed has a relevant influence on the size of insects captured.
